About
Ojala Ministries is a nonprofit organization that provides high school students and adult leaders with the opportunity to build homes for families in need throughout Tijuana, Mexico. Through hands-on service, students work directly alongside community members and the families who receive the homes, creating meaningful connections while making a lasting impact.
Safety is Vital
The safety of our participants is our highest priority. All adult participants are thoroughly vetted through background checks and are required to successfully complete rigorous Safe Environment training before participating in our trips.
We also prepare our participants for the experience through hands-on construction and leadership training, while helping them develop a deeper understanding of Mexican traditions, culture, and the challenges faced by families living in poverty. Our goal is to ensure every participant arrives prepared to serve with confidence, respect, and compassion.
Our Community
Ojala Ministries has deep roots and lasting relationships within the community of Terrazas Dos. For more than 35 years, we have been visiting Tijuana, building connections, serving families, and becoming part of the community we return to year after year. These long-standing relationships allow us to work alongside families with trust, respect, and a genuine understanding of the community. Our mission is about more than building homes—it’s about building relationships that last.
